We started importing our hardwood furniture in 1998, mainly from India. Since then our reach has grown significantly to include Contemporary and Traditional furniture sourced in Malaysia, Indonesia and China. We now have our own factory in the South of Malaysia where we are able to design, develop and import our own exclusive products. The Locksbrook range was the first of these and will be followed by many more through 2008.

All of our shops stock virtually the same products, which we import direct, and are offered to you at incredible value for money prices all year round. There are no middlemen whatsoever.

Where is the furniture imported from?
Mainly China, India and Malaysia

Is the wood from sustainable sources?
We try our best to ensure that all our furniture is environmentally sound. Our manufacturers are instructed only to buy from managed plantations and we carry out regular checks. Where possible we use fast growing hardwoods such as Kembang Semangkok.

Is Child labour involved?
Absolutely not. With any of the factories we deal with, they would lose our business if we found out otherwise.

How is the furniture made?
Nearly all the furniture is made largely by hand. The Chinese and Malaysian factories have mechanised rapidly, adapting to western factory standards very quickly but maintaining a large element of hand finishing. All the wood used in our products has been kiln dried to a moisture content of around 8%. This greatly reduces the risk of any movement during the life of the piece.

Do you deliver?
Yes, but it is not free, there is no such thing. Some companies build delivery cost into their retail prices, we do not. Charges begin at £20. We prefer customers to collect, but understand it is not always possible to do so. Please contact the relevant store for a quote.
